Well... This was going to me my long goodbye to all my wonderful co-workers... But now it's more like a HELLO-GOODBYE to everyone and not just me! Lawrence, Carla, Ian and several other current and former Rez/QA/Reps are going to be there. So why not come out!?

I am announcing that I am choosing the Cocktail Lounge: it's gorgeous, easy to find and easy to navigate (the majority has regular size booths and tables/chairs) and it seats 50, and if necessary Karen, our coordinator, has a bit more room she can open in the back section for roughly 16 more people. If you prefer to sit next to the bar in that room, then that area is higher and has barstools. Click >>> here <<< & look on the bottom right of the webpage you go to and you will see a bit of what The Moon cocktail lounge looks like.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: Bring your ID. They emphasized to me, in no uncertain terms, that they reserve the right to turn away potential customers who do not provide ID. You need to be at least legal drinking age (19 yrs old), but if you look younger, Karen says to bring your ID anyway! If you don't have ID and you're 19, 29, 39 they can still ask you to leave as they will otherwise possibly be fined $10,000!!

THE MENU:
Just in case you can't see the writing that Karen placed on the first page, I just wanted to make sure you knew that she says she can bring down highballs and beer to $3.50 & wine to $4.00, however cocktails or specialty drinks will be charged the normal rate.

Really, these food prices seem very reasonable! For instance, Karen has seen 4 people easily sated by their popular Appetizer Basket, which at $14.95 split between 4 people is roughly $3.75! Click on the pages to get a larger view of them...

OK... I think this happens to fall on a PAYDAY weekend, people! At least for StarTek... Also I am going to have a look at the actual facilities where it will be taking place - -and now the website I have is up to date. There is no $1/ounce steak night, nor is there Karoake, but I got you deal on drinks!

REMEMBER: I NEED TO BE RSVP'd NO LATER THAN MARCH 31st!

Thanks so much to Jamie and Mia: they are the co-ordinators of gathering my data for the invited folks to come. They kindly took a list of over 70 people and asked people on my behalf to come to my gathering!

I'm trying to find out if we can just hang out in the bar or if we're going to end up having to get a banquet room... That would totally suck if we had to get a banquet room because I don't think anyone could afford it.
I guess I'm not the best organizer.... Hopefully someone can help: I emailed the owner and manager via the website with questions...
I don't know if I'm going to be able to pull this off: I just started a new job and now I'm organizing a huge gathering... What was I thinking??

OK, I don't feel so bad now... I talked with Karen and here's what's up...

The banquet room is booked on Sat Apr 14th, however there is a newly renovated "corner bar" and a separate "cocktail lounge." She said either the bar or the lounge can hold up to 50 people... I am going (with David) to see her after 6PM sometime on Satruday night... Maybe grab a bite to eat. I was thinking, sight unseen, that we could pick the bar, but just in case I would rather assess the whole thing with Karen and get a sample menu.

*wipes sweat off forehead* Ah! What a relief!

Hey... Big NEWS... I'm leaving StarTek... I have a shot at something better (moneywise, shiftwise, benefits-wise, vacation & sickday-wise, etc) for my family at a different company. I'm really gonna miss all my coworkers there, so I hope they keep in touch... At this particular StarTek we worked for an US wireless phone company. It's not a bad place to gain skills and experience toward customer service (like improving your reflexes by learning how to duck when shit comes flyin' at you) that's for sure. I could probably have continued being a resolution specialist there for years if I wanted to, but it came to a point when I thought I ought to post my resume online...

For this post I want to have some STARTEK PICTURES... I don't care if they're old ones or new. If you got em, I want em! Gimmee! Either email me or leave a comment at the link at the end of this post... That is I want pictures of PEOPLE from StarTek, not the stupid building...
